NYE

Happy New Year (more or less)! Patrick and I worked out this morning, then we went to Loew's near Boston Common and saw *two* movies: Adaptation and Two Weeks Notice (both of us wanted to see the former; he graciously agreed to see the latter). Adaptation was pretty crazy, but I enjoyed it. It made me wonder how much it was making fun of itself (I won't go into detail in case you haven't seen it). So it was nice having a mental break and watching a romantic comedy afterwards. Two Weeks Notice wasn't all that great--a rent-it-on-video kind of movie. Oh well!

We're staying in for the rest of the night. We saw lots of revelers in Boston Common when we came out of the theater. There was a pretty ice castle and live music, and lots of other stuff, I'm sure, but I'm not really big on crowds of people. And it smelled like sulfur for some reason. It's nice and foggy out now--a good night for staying inside :)
